About Us

everything has a beginning

The Birmingham Chapter started here...

The Buffalo Soldiers & Troopers Motorcycle Club of Alabama, Birmingham Chapter was formed by Joseph ‘Ace Outlaw’ Hill in September 2006 with the mission and vision to create a positive image for African Americans in the city and across the nation.

In August of 2006, Joseph ‘Ace Outlaw’ Hill attended the National Roundup in Fort Pierce, Florida.  It was to the liking of many that on this trip a group of men and women known as the Buffalo Soldiers met .

In September, Joe took a trip to Huntsville, Alabama and gathered all the information needed to get the ball rolling for a new Chapter in Alabama.  A few of Joe’s friends rode with the Huntsville Chapter to meet more Soldiers in Georgia.  At this point it was decided, Joseph was going to petition the NABSTMC for the formation of the Birmingham Chapter of the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Club (NABSTMC) Inc.

The next ride was in Mississippi where many Soldiers would be in attendance. Those who rode included Joseph Hill, Terizan Tolbert, Walt Williams, with ohers who followed in the bitter cold.

There, he presented the Charter members of the Birmingham Chapter Buffalo Solders, which also included Roosevelt Brock, Sebastian Dixon, and Steve Debrow with our first associate, Charlotte Garrett.  History was surely in the making.  The Birmingham Chapter would end up twenty-five Soldiers strong and continued to build.

Shortly thereafter life brought about a change in Denham Springs, Louisiana where Joseph ‘Ace Outlaw’ Hill was killed in a motorcycle accident, but due to his rising skills he saved the life of Charlotte Garrett.
